Poway Symphony Orchestra
John LoPiccolo, Music Director and Conductor
Welcome to the Poway Symphony Orchestra
Formed in 2004, the semi-professional Poway Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents three symphonic music concerts each year at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts. For over 20 years, we have welcomed appreciative audiences from all over San Diego’s North County Inland region to our concerts.
Under the baton of our Music Director and Conductor John LoPiccolo, about 65 musicians perform the music at the high artistic level that our patrons have come to expect. It is an honor to have contributed to the cultural and educational enrichment of residents in the communities we serve for over two decades. Read more about our history!
The Poway Symphony Orchestra Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in Poway, was established in 2015 with the sole purpose of supporting the orchestra.
Tickets for our concerts are available online at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts website at powaycenter.com, and at the box office by calling 858-748-0505 or visiting at 15498 Espola Rd in Poway.
We are thankful for your continued patronage and support, and look forward to welcoming you to our concerts this season!
The Orchestra Invites Musicians to Join
The Poway Symphony Orchestra provides great opportunities for qualified musicians to perform in concerts at the highest quality. We welcome musicians of all ages and walks of life to enjoy the experience of making music. Our literature ranges from Classical, Romantic to Contemporary music. The orchestra is looking to expand in numbers and we are especially interested in strengthening the orchestra with additional string players in all string sections.
The orchestra has rehearsal on Monday evenings from 7:15 to 9:15 PM. Performances are usually on Sundays at 4:00PM with dress rehearsals on Saturdays at 10:00AM.
